Vegetarians can have bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, and some mushrooms or tofu grilled during a barbecue. How about broccoli sticks for appetizers instead of chips? At the dessert section, fruits may be eaten fresh as they are, such as apples, strawberries, and pears to enjoy its organic goodness or cook old favorites such as apple pie or cherry pie using these “green” fruits.
An organic food diet not only does wonders for the body (as celebrities claim this as secret to their awesome bodies) but also does wonders for the environment, since farming produce does not use chemicals which could damage the ecosystem we’re taking care of. To take “going green” further, it would be great to also use reusable eco-friendly bags too while grocery shopping for your meal’s ingredients instead of relying on disposable plastic or paper bags that contribute to carbon footprint. Who would have thought that there is a choice to still eat healthy, enjoy delicious meals, while doing something good for one’s body and the environment? Enjoy going green and organic!
