Organic recipes

Organic foods aren’t grown the traditional and commercial way.

It eliminates the use of synthetic pesticides or chemical food additives so that the food on the table is not only healthy to the body but also healthy to the environment since produce are grown without the use of chemical fertilizers, which best recipes in the world have the potential to harm soil and water, which could effect aquatic wildlife.  Depending on the state or country you’re in, there are standards set for products to be certified as organic.  Since organic foods have easy cooking recipiesa lesser yield than those farmed using traditional methods, they are priced a bit more expensive than those farmed using commercial means.

 

Organic foods are touted to potentially have higher nutritional value than conventional food.  The reason: In the absence of pesticides and fertilizers, plants boost their production of the phytochemicals.  Probably that’s also the reason why many celebrities have chosen to follow this type of diet.  Celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Kate Bosworth, and designer Marc Jacobs follow this green diet, and this makes it popular among most people with their influence.

 

Organic vegetables can be tossed in a simple salad drizzled with vinaigrette dressing for a light lunch paired with clear soup or grilled poultry with shake made from fresh fruits and vegetables (carrot or cucumber shake, anyone?).  Vegetarians can have bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, and some mushrooms or tofu grilled during a barbecue.  How about broccoli sticks for appetizers instead of chips?  Bull fillet with farmhouse rice makes a full, hearty meal paired with soup.  At the dessert section, fruits may be eaten fresh as they are, such as apples, strawberries, and pears to enjoy its organic goodness or cook old favorites such as apple pie or cherry pie using these “green” fruits.

 

An organic food diet not only does wonders for the body (as celebrities claim this as secret to their awesome bodies) but also does wonders for the environment, since farming produce does not use chemicals which could damage the ecosystem we’re taking care of.  To take “going green” further, it would be great to also use reusable eco-friendly bags too while grocery shopping for your meal’s ingredients instead of relying on disposable plastic or paper bags that contribute to carbon footprint.  Who would have thought that there is a choice to still eat healthy, enjoy delicious meals, while doing something good for one’s body and the environment? Enjoy going green and organic!
